about

The Mountain, the last album by Deeper Than Space, explored the ideas of mountains as living spirits, and was done in homage to a number of mountains in Japan.

Polysun has a similar theme but instead looks to the stars for inspiration. Amaterasu Omikami, the sun goddess and head of the Shinto pantheon, is referenced in the first track, but as the album progresses it moves further out, encompassing all the stars in the sky.

If our sun has a spirit then so must every star.
